Soulja Boy Takes Over Twitter

Ever since Soulja Boy rushed the scene with his 2007 debut single, "Crank That (Soulja Boy)", he's been a rap sensation. But, His celebrity isn't limited to records. It turn out that Soulja Boy is an online sensation as well, becoming the number 1 searched person for seven weeks straight starting in 2007.

In 2009, Soulja Boy set out to accomplish another internet milestone, gaining 1,000,000 Twitter followers on both his Twitter profiles. When asked why he set such a goal, Soulja Boy was reported saying "its like selling records... once you get to 1,000,000 its considered a success. So, I wanna do it again."

Soulja Boy says he's not stopping there, his next goal is to have the most Twitter followers overall.
